Have Faith in God!

July 10th, 2008

Mark 11: 22  “Have[f] faith in God,” Jesus answered.

Mark 11: 23  “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

Mark 11: 24  Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Is there a need in your life?  Where is your faith today?, Is your faith in a job with consistant income, a house, car, bank account, investments, largish, friends and family.  When all of these things have vanished away we find ourselves going to God with child like faith, asking him to “give us this day our daily bread”.  This reminds us that God is the source of our supply.  After all His word says that a cattle on thousand hills belong to Him, and that He would supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory “it is His good pleasure to give to us the kingdom.  Just pray and beleive.  When all else fails remember to have faith in God.

Example of True Commitment!

1:16  And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
1:17  Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.
1:18  When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

JESUS IS COMING!

April 23rd, 2008
II Peter 3

3:1  This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

3:3  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
3:4  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

I Found the Secret Place!

April 23rd, 2008
What makes this Place a secret?

  • The Secret Place of the Most High God is a place where satan can not enter.
  • The Secret Place; a place of complete trust in God.
  • A place to share the secrets of your heart in prayer.
  • The Secret Place; where you set your love upon the Almighty.  You learn to love on God in worship.
  • Secret Place; a place of protection and Assurance.
  • In this place we find the secret to long life.

What a wonderful place to make your habitation!  You love on the Almighty, and you never want to leave this place.  Notice it is a place in God that makes you feel secure from all of lifes storms.

91:1  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

91:2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
91:3  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
91:4  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
91:5  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
91:6  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
91:7  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
91:8  Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
91:9  Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
91:10  There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
91:11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
91:12  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
91:13  Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
91:14  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
91:15  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
91:16  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Behold the Lamb of God

April 14th, 2008

Take a Look at THe Lamb of God.  He is Exceptional!

Isaiah 53:2-9

53:2  For [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness [royal, kingly pomp], that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him.
53:3  He was despised and rejected {and} forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows {and} pains, and acquainted with grief {and} sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth {or} have any esteem for Him.
53:4  Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows {and} pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
53:5  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt {and} iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace {and} well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed {and} made whole.
53:6  All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt {and} iniquity of us all.
53:7  He was oppressed, [yet when] He was afflicted, He was submissive {and} opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.
53:8  By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who among them considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living [stricken to His death] for the transgression of my [Isaiah’s] people, to whom the stroke was due?
53:9  And they assigned Him a grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.
